About Yuki Io
Yuki Io’s art is based on traditional printmaking and analog drawing and painting techniques.
She is inspired by animals, furry family members, astronomy, and space art. These themes are at the heart of her creative work.
Yuki also creates handmade artwork for guitar makers in Germany. This includes painting guitars and making hand-printed posters.
Yuki Io was born and raised in Austria. She now lives and works in her studio in the Fichtelgebirge region of Germany. Yuki Io is an artist on the autism spectrum (Asperger’s).
Printmaking
Yuki mainly works in the field of traditional, fully analog printmaking. Each artwork is created by hand in a detailed, time-intensive process.
One of her main themes is Space Art – the universe and the history of its exploration.
From the design to the hand-carved printing plates to the final print with its unique look, everything is crafted completely by hand.
Pet portrait drawing
Yuki Io creates also detailed portraits of animals, including action scenes like herding or dog sports, based on a photo.
With great care and attention, she captures the spirit and soul of each animal on paper.
